MEET RAJAH
Rajah Maggay is running to build a more affordable, safe, and better connected community for everyone, where housing is available, neighborhoods have better transit, amenities and public spaces, and small businesses can thrive.
30 years ago Rajah’s parents moved to Edmonton, and today, Rajah chooses to build her life here. Having grown up on the west side, Rajah decided to stay because of her deep love for the community and the people that make it special.

For years, she’s brought bold leadership and real experience to our city. As the former Senior Policy Advisor for Ward Nakota Isga, Rajah worked directly with residents, community groups, small businesses, and city staff to help shape policies that improve daily life — from the Valley Line West LRT to the Lewis Farms Recreation Centre. She’s seen firsthand what’s working at City Hall, and what needs to change.
Beyond City Hall, Rajah is a small business owner, a nonprofit co-founder, and a long-standing advocate for equity and inclusion. She co-founded In Her Words Bookshop, a pop-up bookstore that amplifies women’s voices, and Political DIVAS, a nonprofit empowering women and gender-diverse people to engage in politics. As Vice Chair of Communications for ParityYEG, she supported efforts to advance gender equity in public leadership.

Rajah is deeply committed to leading with compassion and integrity to a Ward Nakota Isga where life is affordable, safe, and comfortable, and every resident feels seen, heard, and represented by their councillor.
